Dissertation
The brief: For our dissertations, we had the freedom to select a topic we felt passionate about, I chose sustainability and fast fashion.
The problem: Fast fashion consumption in generation Z females due to outfits that are only worn once.

​The solution: A fashion rental service specialising in fashion for holidays, festivals, special occasions and night out fashion. Fling is new and fresh, with a sustainable ethos and generation Z focused brand image.

​My roles: This was my self devised project so I completed everything independently from research to branding and photography.

In this project, I had to assess the current fashion rental landscape and position myself within a gap in the market. I conducted primary research with consumers and interviewed industry professionals (fashion journalists, fashion rental brands) to gain insight into the industry and consumer needs. I created 'Fling' a fun, flirty and fresh fashion rental brand portraying itself as a fling with clothing. I used a tongue in cheek, suggestive tone of voice to set myself apart from current fashion rental brands and intrigue my consumer who is most likely a first time rental consumer.
